If it is said that Necessity is the Mother of invention, and if that most inventions are born of some sort of laziness, then VineWize™ upholds both statements as truth.

In my own personal battles against an army of tomato vines, I flat grew weary of weaving wayward branches back into their cages, and/or finding various ties to hold expanding vines up against cages falling over from the force of an overgrown fold of foliage already overwhelming the too-small cage, and all too often breaking the precious branches in the effort.

One day, as I tenderly if not gracefully guided the head of an errant vine back into its intended weave, my first action was that of gently sweeping the branch upward in my arm. That’s when it occurred to me: “All my former caging efforts have utilized static control devices!” The tomato vines grow outward, but the cages have always been fixed. Static. Unyielding. Any effort to reconfine the wandering beast requires bending the vine itself, risking breaking it. But here my own arm just swept the vine upward without difficulty, without injury.

It is the act of redirecting the vine into a static cage or tied string that often breaks it... and, frankly, it often is altogether too much effort. Yet at this moment I realized how easy it was to do this simple and graceful act of sweeping the vine upward with my arm.
